In contrast to proposals for the Strategic Development Plan outside London, the new Plan retains an overall target for new housing, whilst other key principals of the old plan are retained – Opportunity Areas, Central Activities Zone, the Housing Density Matrix, Strategic Industrial Locations and a commitment to Renewable Energy provision.
