Assessing the impact of windfarms upon the historic environment
The following methodologies describe CgMs’ standard approach to the assessment of the effects of wind farms on cultural heritage. This encompasses direct impacts on below ground remains and indirect (setting) impacts on above ground structures – that is, Scheduled Ancient Monuments, listed buildings and conservation areas. These methodologies may need to be adapted to suit specific sites.
