The CgMs Historic Buildings and Planning Teams prepared a written representation appeal for a rear extension and attic conversion to create two additional residential units and refurbish the existing building.

Holcombe House

Holcombe House is a late Georgian villa property built in 1775 to the designs of John Johnson for a Lord Mayor of London Sir John Anderson. It is listed Grade II* and sits within the Mill Hill Conservation Area.

Bramshill House

CgMs Consulting provided key services in the assessment and understanding of this Grade I listed Jacobean Mansion. The house, presently used as a police training college, was subject to a conservation plan to inform its future management and approach to maintenance.

Epney, Gloucestershire

CgMs’ Historic Building Team undertook to challenge the Secretary of State’s recent decision, based upon the advice of English Heritage, to list the cottage. The building was listed as it was considered to represent an example of a substantially complete timber framed 17th century building.

Hereford Square

CgMs’ Historic Buildings Team successfully secured the de-listing of the above 1950s property on behalf of the owner. The property had been added Grade II to the statutory list in May 2007 though it was alleged that EH had failed to consult the owner prior to the listing of the property.

Oare House, Wiltshire

Oare House is a Grade I listed building in extensive grounds on the edge of the village of Oare in Wiltshire. An historic building record was compiled to discharge a condition imposed by Kennet District Council on a listed building consent for alterations to the building.

Twickenham House, Abingdon

An historic building appraisal was produced in order to assess the historic and architectural significance of Twickenham House, a Grade II* listed building. A separate Impact Assessment informed by the appraisal assessed the impact of proposals for alterations to convert the building from an office back into residential use.
