Job Vacancy - Assistant Graphics Technician

We are looking for an Assistant Graphics Technician for our central London archaeology team.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and well-motivated graduate with good technical knowledge. Ability to use AutoCAD and Esri ArcMap (GIS software) is essential, whilst knowledge of other graphics software is desirable.

Key activities will include:

  • Preparing figures for presentation in reports using AutoCAD and GIS with occasional use of other graphics packages. (e.g. CorelDRAW , Adobe Illustrator etc.)
  • Preparing PDF documents and reports for client issue.
  • Preparing and printing scaled drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Provide support to senior graphics technician and heritage staff with general office duties.
  • Key skills and abilities will include:
  • A high level of computer literacy.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
  • Ability to produce high quality drawings to a tight timescale.
  • Ability to present graphical information clearly and accurately.
  • A good standard of Maths and English.

This post would be responsible for assisting with producing graphic material for the Heritage team; therefore the role will require good communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
