Following the completion of a desk based assessment and geophysical survey, CgMs have just successfully negotiated an agreement with the local planning authority that archaeological evaluation can be undertaken as a condition of outline planning permission for a proposed housing development. The LPA agreed with CgMs that requirements for further pre-determination evaluation were excessive in the light of the limited archaeological potential showed by the geophysical survey. read more...

London Mayor publishes draft CIL charging schedule - 18th Jan 2011

The London Mayor published on 17 January 2011 for consultation proposals for a new London-wide Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) on development in London to help fund a projected shortfall of £300m for the funding of CrossRail.
